  1. Bacterial infections

Types:

  • Direct Ophthalmoscopes give a magnified image of the eye in an upright position. It is placed very close to the patient eye in order to get correct results.
  • Indirect ophthalmoscope, unlike the direct one produces an inverted image of the eye. In order to achieve this, the device is placed at 15-30 inches distance from the patient’s eye. This device shows more potent results when confirming a cataract.
  1. Otoscopes:

If you are having hearing problems or any discomfort in your ear, the physician would probably equip himself with an otoscope for examination purposes. It is used to give an image of the ear canal. The lens magnifies the image while the doctor views the inside of your ear.
